EPROM, acronym of Erasable Programmable Read Only Memory, includes a series of works carried out from 2007 to 2010.
EPROM is a memory that can be programmed for a very large number of times, but not an infinite one. A serial system of connections, studied to progressively erase data.

The installation activates simultaneously a series of electric motors that move sound boxes at a high speed. Working at an excessive, anomalous speed, the sound boxes will hurry, try to keep up. They will emit a thickened voice, they will pile up, be out of tune, they will hinder one another with no grace. Little by little the steel plates and the cogged cylinders will wear out. Some sound box will get quiet, some other will slow down its race, accept the wear and tear, the exhaustion.

I like to think of EPROM as the collapse of a drawing. Until a toothless silence.
